The Synergy Series S-1 surround speaker is the smallest of its kind to utilize Klipsch's exclusive Wide Dispersion Surround Technology(TM) (WDST), which ensures a dynamic, enveloping surround experience and precise placement of sound in the room. Available in a black finish with titanium accents, the S-1 surround speaker offers two different contemporary looks: with its grille on, its elegance blends nicely with any home décor; with the grille off, it makes an aggressive, powerful statement.
The Synergy Series S-1 surround speaker benefits from more than 60 years of classic Klipsch horn technology and contemporary craftsmanship, delivering crystal-clear sonic detail through an advanced design that includes two 0.75" Tractrix(R) Horn loaded aluminum-dome tweeters and one 4" woofer. By aligning the two horns at 90 degrees to each other, and using a front-firing woofer, the S-1 smoothly covers a 180 degree horizontal arc, providing maximum flexibility in placement. This impressive surround speaker delivers the performance of units twice its price, creating enveloping sound that places you squarely in the middle of the action. By correctly localizing specific sounds, what you hear precisely matches what you see on the screen.

I have been looking for surround sound speakers to complete my 5.1 channel home theater system. Finally I have found what I was looking for. As usual Klipsch delivers again.
Some features to note -

The Klipsch S-1 Synergy Surround Speakers are well worth the cost. An excellent deal for someone needing high quality front or surround speakers. A have Bose 301's and they have convinced me to sell those and pick up another pair of these for fronts. The mids and highs are crisp and reflect the quality and craftsmanship from Klipsch. The style is appealing too if you have not been able to research them in store. If your still in doubt, check out the prices everywhere else along with the newer versions of these speakers by Klipsch. The speakers went straight from the Klipsch distribution center to Amazon, and then to me. The price here is better than from the Klipsch website and E-audio stores! Amazon.com is the ultimate E-Store, and you get 100% peace of mind when ordering through them. Free shipping usualy takes 10-14 business days to arrive, but that enhances the savings!

These speakers satisfied all needs in completing a home theater setup in a medium-size basement room. Bright, clear sound that you'd expect from Klipsch ... excellent sound dispersal ... easy to mount on a single wall screw or nail. I bought them mainly because they'd fit in the limited space I had for rear surrounds. Despite their small size, they perform beautifully. A great value, too. |

I have been collecting pieces for my 5.1 system and this one sealed the final deal. I am a huge fan of the Klipsch. It absolutely makes you feel like in the middle of the room. You can't beat the sound and beauty. Easy hook-up and powerful surround for my standard size lounge.
